A deep blue to purple triggerfish with red teeth, one of the more reef-friendly triggers.
In stock and eating
The Red Tooth triggerfish, also sold as the Niger trigger, is an active blue-purple fish with long tail tips and bright red teeth. This is a medium-size fish. It does not eat corals, but shrimp, crabs and small clean-up crew are at risk, and it grows to 12-16 inches and needs about 180 gallons with strong flow. Feed small meaty foods several times a day and add it to the tank last.
