When we ship
Orders ship overnight Monday through Wednesday so your animals never sit in a warehouse over a weekend. Orders placed Wednesday afternoon through Sunday go out the next shipping day. In extreme heat or cold we may hold an order a day or two and will always let you know first.
How we pack
Fish are bagged with pure oxygen in double bags. Corals are bagged in water and secured so they cannot tumble. Every box is insulated, with heat or cold packs chosen for the weather along the route.
Live arrival guarantee
If an animal arrives dead, email a photo of it in the unopened bag within 2 hours of the carrier’s delivery time and we will refund or replace it. To qualify:
- Someone must be home to accept the first delivery attempt.
- The photo must show the animal in its shipping bag.
- Shipping is not refunded, and the guarantee covers arrival only.
Acclimating your new arrivals
- Dim the aquarium lights and open the box away from bright light.
- Float the sealed bags for 15 minutes to match temperature.
- Drip-acclimate for 30–45 minutes until the water volume roughly triples.
- Net the animal into your tank or quarantine tank. Do not add shipping water to your aquarium.
