A yellow scorpionfish, a camouflaged ambush hunter with venomous fin spines.
In stock and eating
This medium-size yellow scorpionfish is a slow, well-camouflaged ambush predator that perches on rockwork and waits for prey to come close. Like other scorpionfish it has venomous fin spines, so keep track of it during tank maintenance. It eats small fish and shrimp, may need live foods at first, and suits a calm tank with tankmates too large to swallow.
