A spotted gray unicornfish whose forehead horn grows in as it matures, for very large aquariums.

Spotted unicornfish start life without a horn and grow a long, bony one that can reach past the mouth as they mature. This is a medium fish, but adults reach about 2 feet and need a well-established tank of 300 gallons or more with plenty of open swimming room. They are reef safe and eat seaweed, spirulina foods and meaty foods such as mysis. Quarantine carefully, as they are prone to ich and velvet.
