In plain words: The Lawnmower Blenny got its name because it spends almost the whole day mowing the rocks. It scrapes off a fuzzy layer of tiny algae and crumbs using teeth shaped like a comb.
Lawnmower blennies earn their name by grazing hair and film algae from rock all day. They are full of character and become very tame. Make sure there is enough algae, or supplement with nori, so they do not go hungry in very clean tanks.
