About the Blackback Butterfly (S)

This is a small, young blackback butterflyfish, a silvery fish ringed in yellow with diagonal black lines and a black band through the eye. In the wild it eats live coral polyps, so it is not reef safe and belongs in a fish-only tank. Adults reach about 7 inches and need 120 gallons or more. Choose it if you can offer small, varied meaty meals several times a day.
