Rhizophora mangle
$12.00
Red mangrove pods (propagules) to sprout your own mangroves in a sump, refugium or open-top tank.
In stock and eating
A mangrove pod is the long, pencil-shaped seedling a red mangrove drops into the water. Stand it pointed end down in sand, or float it or clip it upright, keep the top above water under bright light, and it will send out roots and then its first leaves over the following weeks. Pods are unrooted, so they are the cheapest way to start.
