Halimeda sp.
$22.00
A large Halimeda clump that adds a natural, segmented green look to rockwork or sand.
In stock and eating
Halimeda, sometimes called cactus algae, builds its fronds from coin-like discs hardened with calcium carbonate; on wild reefs these discs become much of the sand. It is easy to keep with good light and stable reef chemistry, and it grows slowly enough not to take over. This is a large piece for a display or refugium.
