Rhizophora mangle
$13.00
A rooted red mangrove seedling that grows leaves above the water and roots in your sump or display.
In stock and eating
Red mangroves grow with their roots in salt water and their leaves in the air, so they suit open-top tanks, sumps and refugiums. This one is already rooted. Keep the leaves above the waterline under bright light, mist them with fresh water now and then to rinse off salt, and plant the roots in sand or hold the plant up with a clip. They grow slowly and take up nutrients as they do.
