Platypodiella spectabilis
$50.00
A tiny, brightly patched Atlantic crab that makes its home inside zoanthid colonies.
In stock and eating
Gaudy clown crabs are small reef crabs, about an inch across at most, with a bold patchwork of color. In the wild they dig homes inside Palythoa zoanthids, so keep them out of tanks with zoanthids or anemones you want to keep. Offer small meaty foods near their hiding spot, and handle them with gloves, because their tissues can contain palytoxin.
Hi! Ask us anything about fish, corals, inverts or your order. We’re away from the tanks right now, so leave a message and we’ll answer here and by email.
