In plain words: The black and white snapper changes a lot as it grows. A baby is black with big white patches. It has very long fins under its belly. As it grows up, the white patches fade away. A grown-up is gray to black, with black fins and eyes.

About the Macolor Niger (M)

Young black and white snappers wear a contrasting pattern that gradually gives way to silvery gray and black in adults. This is a medium-size fish. It is a fast-growing predator that can top 2 feet, so it belongs in a fish-only system of 300 gallons or more. Feed chopped squid, fish and shrimp twice a day, cover the tank because it may jump, and choose tankmates it cannot swallow.
