Cirrhitichthys falco
$45.00
A small, red-spotted hawkfish with tufted fin tips that perches in plain view.
In stock and eating
The falco or dwarf hawkfish is one of the smallest hawkfish, white with rows of red-brown spots and tiny tufts on the tips of its dorsal spines. It sits on ledges and coral branches, propped on its thick fins, and darts out to grab food. It is hardy and calmer than most hawkfish, but it will eat small ornamental shrimp and fish that fit in its mouth. It reaches about 3 inches and does well in a 30-gallon or larger tank on frozen meaty foods.
