Chaetodon falcula
$115.00
The falcula (sickle) butterflyfish, white and yellow with two sharp black wedge-shaped saddles on its back.
In stock and eating
This is the falcula or sickle butterflyfish, the look-alike cousin of the Pacific double saddle, told apart by its two crisp black wedge-shaped saddles and the black band around the base of its tail. Like most butterflyfish it is not reef safe and may nip corals and small invertebrates. Keep it in a large, mature fish-only tank with rock to graze, and feed meaty and algae-based foods several times a day.
Hi! Ask us anything about fish, corals, inverts or your order. We’re away from the tanks right now, so leave a message and we’ll answer here and by email.
