From our species guide
In plain words: The Royal Gramma is a small fish from the Caribbean Sea that looks like it was dipped in two cans of paint. The front half is bright purple and the back half is sunny yellow.
Royal grammas fade from vivid purple at the head to bright yellow at the tail. They claim a cave or overhang and hover near it, often upside down.
Peaceful toward most tankmates and eager eaters, they are one of the best colorful fish for beginners.
