In stock and eating
This is a small Black-Saddled Toby, a white puffer with brown spots and four dark saddles whose pattern is copied by a harmless filefish. Adults reach about 4 inches and do best in a fish-only tank of 30 gallons or more. Offer shell-on shrimp, clams and other hard foods to wear down its ever-growing beak, keep corals, snails and shrimp out of reach, and move it with a cup rather than a net.
Hi! Ask us anything about fish, corals, inverts or your order. We’re away from the tanks right now, so leave a message and we’ll answer here and by email.
